All of our Head Instructors have achieved Black Belt in the Shotokan style of
martial arts at our school. During the last two years of instruction prior to
Black Belt, they have assisted at a class each week. They may then apply to our
Instructor Certification Program and if accepted, begin a grueling 3 month
program with Sensei. They have already proven their capability as Martial
Artists and so the emphasis during this special training is on how to be good
teachers. They are taught to teach in the same style as Sensei. They are taught
to teach in a kind and encouraging manner.
